2024 Evaluations are open. Click here to for details.
We welcome players from all clubs. In 2023 we had players from over 32 clubs.
We will not hold regular practices although individual teams may schedule occasional practices. Instead, we will offer a la carte clinics that you can sign up for throughout the summer.
There is a two-tournament minimum. We don't have a maximum at this time. EVERY PLAYER has a spot at every tournament. While you do not have to attend each tournament, you will be welcome at all. There is no first come, first served.
Our season runs in the travel hockey off-season from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
We're planning to register for tournaments local to Southeastern PA and Northern DE.
Most tournaments happen over the weekend between Friday and Monday. Every tournament is different and game schedules are typically released by the tournament directors a couple of weeks in advance. We will share the schedules as soon as we have them.
The number of games depends on the tournament. It's not unusual to play two games in one day and play 3-4+ games over the course of the tournament.
Levels in summer tournaments hockey have no correlation to regular season AHF, DVHL, or USAH levels. What does this mean? If your child typically plays at the A level and is seeded on a B team with Outlaws—THIS DOES NOT MEAN that have been evaluated and deemed a lesser-skilled player. For example, a “B” Outlaws team may enter a tournament as a B, Low B, or even an A level—this will be determined tournament by tournament. An “A” Outlaws team may enter as an A, B, or AA level. Although your player may get assigned to one team, movement among teams may still occur. However, you can have a reasonable expectation that the team your player is assigned to will be your Outlaw's “home.”
We will not entertain complaints or appeals from parents about teams on which their child is placed. This is summer hockey. We have created a fun, positive, and supportive environment. WE ARE ALL ONE TEAM. Your child’s team ‘level” means very little other than a group of kids who we think will have fun and play well together, as well as will learn the most from each other. That’s it.
Our jerseys are light blue and gray. Last year's jerseys are still good for this year.
Returning Players get to keep their numbers. All new players should use their club numbers as their first choice and we will let you know if you need to choose an alternate number. If you need to order your uniform but have not confirmed your number send us a message at brandywineoutlaws@gmail.com and we'll help you get sorted.
The uniform store will open in early spring. Check back for updates.
All evaluations are co-ed. We may field girls teams but they should plan to attend the coed tryouts/evaluations.
All players should sign up for their 2024-25 travel season age group. In other words, if your player turns 9 or 10 in 2024 sign up for Squirts (10U); turns 11 or 12 in 2024 sign up for Peewee (12U); turns 13 or 14 in 2024 sign up for Bantam (14U); and so on.
Yes, we are looking for coaches. Already certified? Contact Jonathan Stearns. Willing to get certified? Click here.
All players are required to have full ice hockey equipment. All equipment must be designed for ice hockey not inline or street hockey. Goalie equipment is specific and varies from this list:
Our players generally have previous hockey experience. Get in touch if you have questions about whether the Outlaws are a good fit for your player.
Our 2024 teams are 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U.
All players interested in playing for the Outlaws or BB Selects should sign up for tryouts/evaluations.
Can’t find your roster? It was there, but now it’s gone? Not to worry. It simply means that you haven’t yet registered for the season. You will not be able to see or access your team info, schedule, or messages until you are fully registered.
Please note: if you played last year and still see that roster, “hiding” your former team is easy. Hide Teams on TeamSnap:
1. Open TeamSnap app.
2. Tap Edit on the team list.
3. Tap the red minus icon for a team you want hidden.
4. Tap Hide.
5. Tap Done when finished.
There are separate fees for evaluations and the program. See our fees page for details.
No. There are no refunds for tournaments or the clinic if you are unable to attend.
We do not offer traditional financial aid or scholarships. If you are experiencing a financial hardship that is preventing your player from participating please reach out to us at brandywineoutlaws@gmail.com.
